Compliance Resource Center (CRC) is a leading provider of compliance tools and services which help healthcare organizations manage compliance activities in the constantly changing regulatory environment. CRC's solutions include policy and procedure development, online training, surveys, sanction screening services, and compliance hotline services. CRC is affiliated with Strategic Management Services, LLC, a nationally recognized healthcare compliance consulting firm. 

About this Opportunity:

The Operations Manager is responsible and accountable for managing and developing the CRC team (8-10 employees), setting direction, and deploying resources on varying projects.  As a key leadership role, this position requires an understanding of how each business line operates and how their goals align with organizational goals. The position is a senior role which involves overseeing the provision of services to clients. 

This is a full-time position located at CRC's headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia.

Essential Functions:

Personnel Management

  • Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
  • Evaluate and plan staffing levels. Identify staffing gaps, needs and redundancies to leadership.
  • Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.

Operational Management

  • Plan and implement systems that perform the work and fulfill the mission and the goals of the department efficiently and effectively.
  • Establish and maintain relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor the operation of the department.
  • Review performance data that includes activity reports to monitor and measure departmental productivity, goal achievement, and overall effectiveness.

Client Management

  • Ensure client requests are responded to in a timely and appropriate manner by responding directly to the client or appropriately delegating the responsibility to a staff member.
  • Communicate regularly with managers, business development team and organizational leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a business environment or related industry, managing others.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional 2007/2010 (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Word).
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills required.
  • Excellent demonstrated follow up skills & attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization (both internal and external).
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, abilitity to manage change and tolerate stress.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and type. Work performed is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
