The Account Manager oversees a team of employees and is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of professional services.  The Account Manager is responsible for the successful execution of the process workflow, maintaining high satisfaction from clients, contributing to the continual improvement of processes, and the professional growth and development of his/her direct reports. 

The Account Manager is committed to consistently achieving high performance and adhering to centralized operational standards.

Essential Functions

  • Manage day-to-day operations of team.
  • Balance project work load, project assignment, resource allocation and adherence to set deadlines.
  • Support team members and clients with issues, following escalation procedures.
  • Ensure procedures are being executed effectively by the team.
  • Ensure that the team meets or exceeds targets for all key performance indicators and weekly benchmarks
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with each team member.
  • Coach, mentor and inspire staff with a focus on individual improvement and employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Evaluate overall performance and deliver written performance plans for direct reports and ensure all team reviews are completed on time.
  • Build and lead a highly functional team; provide clear individual and team goals that ensure each team member understands their role in the success of the company; make changes when necessary and proactively address performance issues.
  • Onboard new clients.
  • Facilitate daily team huddles for the team.
  • Resolve client service challenges.
  • Dissemination of monthly client report and provide quality control on this report.

Required Education and Experience

  • Prior work-related and management experience. Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • 5+ years of related professional/managerial experience managing people.
  • Proficiency in Windows 7, Office 2010, and web conferencing software.
  • General understanding of website functionality and related technologies.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team on a daily basis.
  • The ability to learn and assimilate new information quickly.
  • The ability to effectively manage multiple projects, including developing project objectives, prioritizing project responsibilities, delegating tasks, executing project deliverables, and tracking and measuring project to successful completion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to collaborate with people.
  • The ability to plan and direct own activities with minimal management supervision.
  • The ability to define and deliver on priorities and be self-organized.
  • A high level of attention to detail, excellent follow through and reliability.
  • Possess a curious, open and creative yet gently persistent approach.
  • Experience engaging with people across a variety of levels with diverse backgrounds.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position manages all assigned employees and is responsible for leadership, performance management and hiring of his/her employees.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and type. Work performed is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
